Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Redness On The Temple

Thanks, i am a 57 y.o. Male. On my face, I have a swollen, red, raised, hot , sensitive to touch, area just below my temple even with my ear. Not a zit, carbuncle, fur uncle, etc... Ice helps, Motrin helps, just wondering when do I need to seek medical attention? It is swollen enough to slightly affect my hearing in that ear...

hi,
thank you for putting up your query on HCM.
sir, as per your history, you may have an abscess or insect bite causing inflammation.
since it is also affecting your hearing, i would suggest you to consult a ent specialist and dermatologist for the same for effective treatment.
-- you may require a course of oral antibiotics for 5-7 days after consulting a doctor.
-- you may continue taking tab ibuprofen for pain as it will help in controlling inflammation too.
please consult a doctor and get yourelf checked.
wishing you good health.
thank you.
