Suggest Treatment For Stuffy Nose And Ears

Hi, I've been back and forward to my doctor as my nose is almost always blocked, and I've got stuffiness in my ears, particularly my left one, so my hearing is dull, and I have a cough from catarrh in my throat. One doctor said that it's allergic rhinitis, and another one said that it's similar to glue ear in children as the bit in my ear that should be vibrating, is "flattened" against my ear drum - I'm not sure of the right names, sorry. I'm 51 btw and female. I've used anti-allergy pills and nasal sprays but they don't really help. Do adults get grommets to drain the fluid away in their ears, or is there anything else that might help?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi. Appears that you have a chronic rhinosinusitis - causing catarrh in throat/ post nasal drip, nasal blockage with ear symptoms. Diagnostic nasal endoscopy and CT scan of nose & paranasal sinuses help in diagnosis. Also if one is having glue ear , grommet can be used ( in adults ).
Thanks.
