Suggest Treatment For Strep Throat

I ve had strep throat for the past couple of days and yesterday my ear popped really loud with pain. Now my hearing is muffled in that ear with ringing and pain when I push down my tragus. What in the world could this be? Do I need to go to the doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your ear symptoms could be due to eustachian tube dysfunction, midde ear infection.
Throat and ear connect through eustachian tube, so infection easily transfer from the throat to ear or eustatchian tube.
I would suggest to consult the ENT specialist and undergo throat and ear examination and throat swab test to confirm the infection.
Doctor will prescribe following medicines:
Tablet Clavam-625,
Tablet Hifenac-P, tablet monti-FX, tablet containing propylhexedrine
Proper bed rest,
Drink give lukewarm water, steam inhalation and use humidifier
Do gargle with betadine ointment 2-3 times per day
Hope this may help you

Best regards
