Suggest Treatment For Strep Throat In A 6 Years Old Child

My 6 year old son was diagnosed with Strep throat and started on antibiotics but ran high fever after 5 days and took him back and was told he has a viral infection now. He finished his antibiotic but started to complain a few days of lower left pain. Is this part of the normal process of an infection?

Hi....I would like to know how strep throat was diagnosed. The usual antibiotic treatment for strep sore throat is 10 days with Amoxycillin. Lower left means I assume that it is lower abdominal or testicular pain, both of which are not usual in this infection.
