I m not sure how to explain but I am a 24 year old male and I been having feeling stomach pains and it feels like knots in my stomach and I also have been passing gas like no tomorrow. This has been going on for weeks and it s getting worse please help me
Hi, These all symptoms of abdominal pain or gas trouble or flatulence could be due to dyspepsia, gastroenteritis,IBS or inflammatory bowel disease, parasitic infestation(giardiasis) etc. You should undergo certain blood investigations with urine and stool examination for R/M and ultrasound of abdomen or upper GI scopy(if required.) Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause but symptomatic treatment can be given. You may require antibiotics (quinolones, antiprotozoals or amoxycillin derivatives)and anti helminthic (albendazole) with proton pump inhibitors (pantoprazole or rabeprazole) and prebiotics and probiotics. You must consult your gastroenterologist for detailed medical history and thoroughly clinical examination and get it diagnosed first. Thanks and Regards,
