Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain And Constipation
Hi ,
Am having a problem with my bowel habits. The first bowel is passed normally but i still feel to pass more. The next phase it becomes a bit diarreatic with little or no mucous sometimes. It happens once or twice a day and then i dont have any more urge to pass the bowel. Recently I had constipation with severe stomach pain. pls guide me what should i do. my weight is 63 kgs and am 38 yrs old male.

I can understand your concern for GI symptoms.
1) You might have symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. This is a physiological condition in which patient develop indigestion along with either diarrhea or constipation from variety of causes.
2) Lack of digestive intestinal enzymes is one of such cause.
3) Before concluding IBS and start treatment for symptoms for it, it is necessary to rule out other conditions which can produce similar symptoms and inflammatory bowel disease is one of it.
4) To rule out other diseases, you must undergo colonoscopy, USG abdomen, stool examination.
5) Once irritable bowel syndrome is confirmed, you can take intestinal digestive enzyme supplementation medication, anti-colic group of medication for pain and stool softener/laxative to relieve constipation episodes.
