Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Intermittent belly pain, more sleeping, otherwise normal all the day and eating normally indicates that there may be one of the problems:
Abdominal lymph node enlargement secondary to intestinal infection.
Appendicitis in catarrhal phase.
Worm infestation.
Chronic intestinal infection.
This can be diagnosed by the following:
Tests of stool, urine and blood.
High resolution
ultrasonography and
CT scan to confirm if there is any doubt on
ultrasound.
Clinical evaluation by a
Pediatrician, Surgeon or a Pediatric Surgeon whoever is available at the earliest.
Once a proper diagnosis is made, the management becomes possible to get a permanent cure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
