General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, excessive sweating even in night time with smelling,is not abnormal per se and it does not help to detect any underlying disease.
But sweating can be associated or (sign can be seen in) with this diseases like infections( TB,lung abscess, heart disease),hyperthyroidism, gastroesophageal reflux disease, lymphoma etc
But never bother about above mentioned diseases bcuz if anyone who is suffering from those then other significant symptoms will also be present which helps in diagnosis rather than excess sweating.
So don't worry and consult your family physician.
