Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You need to check your cortisol axis to make sure you don't have problems with low cortisol. The common test that we do to check for cortisol axis are insulin tolerance tests (needs hospital admission and close monitoring) or Synacthen tests (can be done as out patient).

If your cortisol is low, you have to be on replacement steroids, or else you can have problems with low BP and low sugars and may develop fainting episodes.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
With warm regards,
Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)
