Suggest Treatment For Staphylococcus Aureus In Semen And Urine
Hi please I need advise on how to treat staph aureus both in semen and urine, have done a sensitivity test; augumentin and erythromycin seems to be the most sensitive for the urine while ciprofloxacin seem to be the most sensitive for the semen culture, I have taken cipro for two weeks, then I went for test and urine MCS and came back with moderate growth of same staph aureus, am now on augumentin and nitrofurtoin twice daily, am I on right track? Thanks

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Since you have got different sensitivity pattern for same organism in semen and urine culture, you need to take both the antibiotics course.
Since you have completed with ciprofloxacin course, you also need to complete Augmentin course too similarly.
Drink plenty of fluids and consume citrus fruit juices, which would aid in recovery at a sooner rate.
