On attending the Eye Clinic at my local hospital, the Opthalmic specialist forwarded me to the Consultant immediately and I had a scan of my left eye. (Had op for squint when four years of age - now 64 yrs). I had a bad accident with this eye 18 months ago and sight has become blurred, sometimes double vision and when driving, on occasions. the road moves to the right. This verified what I thought. A right sided squint - eye going out. They also found I have a cataract right in the middle of the vision where the light goes through and the membrane is shrivelled. I was informed that a membrane op is difficult and would be 50/50 whether I would see again. As my eye and surround aches constantly I would like to ask if a squint op would help plus take the cataract out, or if my vision would improve with one op. ? op at all, I would like your views on this. Many thanks.
