Suggest Treatment For Soreness On Stomach

Had shingles in 2006 and have had a shingles shot since then. Last June I experienced a sore on my stomach that took until December to heal. Now I have a sore just above that scar that started out looking like chickenpox. The sore is somewhat painful and does not respond to calamine or Lanacane spray. Could these sores be related to the shingles?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the sore is related to the shingles .

Immunisation would significantly reduce the chance of recurrent episodes of shingles but would not eliminate the risk completely.

Your doctor can take a look and let you know if this is the case.

I hope this helps
