Suggest Treatment For Soreness In The Thumb

For the past month I have soreness in my left thumb. I can bend it but I can hear it clicking. It s very sore and makes daily tasks uncomfortable. It is not swollen. I take a yoga class several times a week and feel like I may have injured it there bc I can t think of a specific incident that may have caused this. Never had this before and fortunately it is only the thumb that is in pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
Based upon the description provided , it appear to be the inflammation of the thumb. All you need is rest along with painkillers. It is most probably a DEQUERVIAN DISEASE. You need to be examined by ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
