Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat
Hi i have a sore throat with a small white patch. the soreness started yesterday. i was tested for strep but it was negative today. When i got home and got out of the shower i noticed that i have a rash under my breast, on the sides of my neck and my back and sides. It doesn t itch and it looks like a heat rash maybe. i a not running a fever. should i be concerned or waiting to see the doctor again tomorrow ok?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat which seems to be due to infection by strep throat.
I would suggest you to
- start with warm saline gargles and betadine gargles 3-4 times a day.
- For pain and swelling you should take ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
- Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food substances , do warm saline rinses and carbonated beverages.
-Avoid cold beverages.
Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like strep throat and viral infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics or anti viral drug depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants and anti inflammatory .
