Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

Hi I have had a very sore mouth and a feeling of something on the back of my tongue down my throat for nearly 2months.
My jaw has started to ache, and my ears have also been hurting.
My throat feels like sandpaper and it's very uncomfortable.
I'm starting to worry that I need to be referred to an ent specialist.
Help!

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain sore mouth can be due to a number of reasons like deficiencies of Iron and Vitamin B12, Dry mouth, acid reflux, hormonal imbalances,, diabetes ,infections like Oral Thrush etc..
Feeling of something at the back of tongue can be due to swollen Circumvallete Papillae secondary to inflammation..
Sandpaper feeling of throat is also due to it..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per suspected cause can help in diagnosis..
As of now for sore mouth gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, take Ibuprofen for reducing Inflammation, suck ice and drink plenty of cool water.
Chew sugar free chewing gum for stimulating saliva flow..
Avoid spicy food..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
