Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, chills with night sweats and headache, strongly suggest a bacterial infection of the throat + sinuses. At the same time, frequent headaches may be migraines.

A 5-7 days' course of Cipro; plus anti-inflammatory drug, such as, Ibuprofen + Paracetamol; plus nasal decongestant drops and gargles with saline water (4 spoonful of salt in a glass of warm water) will cure the infection and also give complete relief.

It is however, advisable that you consult an ENT doctor for the exact cause.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
