Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat Due To Smoking

Hi I am suffering sore throat for the last 6 months.... It gets worse as soon as I smoke.... I smoke arount 15 cigs every day. Tried taking anti-biotics which resolves the problem for a week or so but again I start getting the pain in my throat after smoking.. Thank you for your reply

Hi,

The irritants present in smoke are probably damaging the lining of your throat, making it painful as well as susceptible to infection. Just antibiotics will not solve the problem if you continue to smoke. Steam inhalation will help in healing the mucosal lining but quitting smoking is the best thing you can do.
