Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Small White Spots On The Throat

Hi I have sore throat and have been taking clindamycin however its gotten worse since I ve taken it. My throat is stinging/burning and I have very big white spots on the back of throat. I can barely eat because it hurts so much also my roommate told me while I m sleeping I m having a hard time breathing. I ve tried taking Tylenol/advil and nothing has worked for the pain. I really do not know what to do at this point.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain pain in throat along with large white patches that can be pus pockets can be due to bacterial infection in throat and taking just one dose of antibiotic Clindamycin cannot resolve the symptoms..
I would suggest you to continue taking antibiotic an along with it you can take Tramadol for pain relief as it can relieve severe pain..
You should also take Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation..
Do warm saline gargles and chew Vitamin C pellets..
Do steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room..
Suck throat lozenges..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Sip on plenty of warm water throughout the day..
In case of no improvement in a a week or if symptoms exaggerate consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
