Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Slight Growth In Uvula

I have a slightly sore throat/heating of the mouth area and what looks like a slight growth or stretching on my Uvula. I feel like I have something stick in my throat but when I eat and drink everything feels normal. My mouth itself doesn't look swollen or red. I do have a doctors appointment booked but was wondering what the possibilites were.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
The possibilities are::
Upper respiratory infection causing all the problems you are having.
The feeling of something stuck in the throat can be due to elongated uvula and the lump can be just a edema.
Although the mouth is not red or swollen in gross appearance, it is still infected as it is part of the same area.
A proper treatment will resolve your problem.
Take plenty of oral fluids.
Avoid too hot and too cold, chilly and spicy food, outside beverages.
