Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Lump On Tongue

My husband had been sick with a cold.. he then noticed a lump inside his tongue he went to the doctor and she gave him some anitbotics the lump went away, a few days ago he had a sore throat then today he noticed the lump had come back, he says it hurts when he eat, you can t see the lump but he can feel it.. please help..

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Looks like the lump is associated with a lowered or weakened immunity and may return overtime he has an infection or simply is immunocompromised he may experience this.

I would thus recommend a longer course of antibiotics this time around in order to adequately treat the lump. But if at all it does recur, then a surgical drainage may be required. Hope this helps.
