Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Dry Cough

My boyfriend has had a sore throat and a dry cough for a while now it s not sore like strep and when I looked in the back of his throat there was little blister like bumps on the side? He also tries coughing mucus up because that s what it feels like and it s not helping. What could it be?

Hi , Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum .
As per your clinical history it appears that your boyfriend are having pharingitis with post nasal discharge .

If I were his treating doctor, I would advice him
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily ,
Plenty of fluids &
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
