Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Blood In Phlegm During Pregnancy

Hi, I am 39 weeks pregnant and have a very sore raw throat and head cold which has developed into a cough. last night i coughed up a bit of blood in my plegm. it is really hurting to cough, i was told all i can take is paracetamol. is there anything else i can take to give me some relieve as i feel this is going into my chest. Hello dear,i understand your concern.In my opinion the cough if it is associated with sputum might need examination to rule out any lung infection.Antibiotics might be needed if there is infection.The repeated cough might lead to throat injury leading to blood in sputum.Cough suppressants can be taken.As you are term there is no risk of harm to the fetus.
