Suggest Treatment For Sore Thorat

Hi, I m a 35 year old who recovered not so well from strep throat a month ago, I went for a two weeks follow up with complaints of soreness on throat and lymph nodes as well, my pcp just said I could habe caught a viral infection as well and prescribed lidocaine in the form of a gargle, but it makes me nauseous, so I stopped using it, been sucking on popsicles,etc, but the soreness continues!!!, only the right side of my thoat, andit hurst even swallowing my own saliva!, I ve been experiencing chills for two days in a row...what do I do?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The soreness of throat can be because of the bacterial infection. Nothing to be panic, consult a ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics preferably Azithromycin or Ampoxin after an expert opinion. You can do saline gargling if the lidocaine gel causes nasea.
