Hello need a little help in what I can do until I get a dentist. For about ten weeks my gums have been really sore and bleeding. My sisters says they look infected my mouth throbs at times and it's really painful at times I'm currently taking ibuprofen paracetamol and using mouth wash is there anything else that can help?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infection and inflammation of the gums leading to swelling, redness and bleeding..
Taking painkillers will temporarily resolve the problem and will not give permanent relief..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and Scaling of teeth followed by a course of antibiotics like Metronidazole, anti inflammatory painkiller like Advil, antiseptic ointment massage, gargling with antiseptic mouthwash, warm saline gargles etc can be advised for relief..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
