Suggest Treatment For Small Bumps On The Stomach

I have bites or bumps all over my stomach and sides. I thought it was bed bugs at first cause of a recent vacation. When I first noticed the bumps it was only a couple then more and more came and they were only on my side and stomach they did not itch and were not painful.I would even get more when I stayed at my friends and she has not had any bites at all. I used a cream I had from the doctor that cleared them up. About 1 to 2 weeks later they came back. I am covered in these all over stomach and sides again, this time they are really painful and tender and to my knowledge bed bugs are known to bite exposed skin such as arms legs and face, where I am bitten is covered when I sleep. I have cleaned my room sprayed for them set up traps and examined my mattress and nothing has shown any evidence of bed bugs. Could this be something viral ?
