I started with rash on neck, scalp. First was told it might be shingles. was given anti viral. Next week broke out more spots on back & left shoulder. Was given different anti viral. Now I have spots on right side on arm and back. They start out looking like pimple with white or yellowish pus then scabs over.
Understanding your concern. As per your query have symptoms of small bumps on the neck and scalp. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , skin infection , eczema, allergic reaction and other medical condition. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking rashes. I would suggest you to stop using any cosmetic product, protect your skin from sun exposure , and apply broad spectrum sunscreen when in exposure to sun . Also take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl. You should apply olive oil on scalp. Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically , take history , order skin test for allergy and blood test . Doctor may order corticosteroid ointment , anti allergic medicine , antibiotics and may alter the dose of or prescribe substitute .
