Suggest Treatment For Sleeplessness

I am currently detoxing heroin using 4mgs suboxone films and wanting to know if there is anything I can take for insomnia / I have been taking melatonin but they are not working at all. Please help me if you can, I have read that taking any kind of sleep aid can be harmful or even fatal.

Hello
Welcome here.
I can understand your concerns.
You should follow some sleep hygiene tips like:
Avoid daytime naps.
Donot take heavy fatty meals at bedtime.
Practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation.
Donot listen to loud music or watch emotionally intense movies or programs in night.
Drink a glass of warm milk. Take warm water bath at bedtime.

If melatonin is not working, drugs like ativan and klonopin (prescription drugs) can help.
These are not fatal if taken ocassionally and under doctor's supervision.

Thanks.
