Suggest Treatment For Sleep Disorder

On blood pressure meds (2 TIA s) Previous diagnosis of IBS but somewhat managing. Chronic sleep difficulty.(20 years) Extreme fatigue but of course could be explained by lack of sleep. It just feels like it may be more. Night sweats even though menopause has long passed. Hysterectomy 30 years ago. Ovaries kept. Profound bloated feelings, worse with food. Nutritionally, a healthy diet yet weight gain, particularly in the overall stomach area. Again, because physical exertion is becoming more and more of a problem , some shortness of breath, it can explain the weight gain. Any ideas? Work harder at finding a doctor taking new patients, or just suck it up and get on a tread mill and work through it !

Hello!
Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Regarding the shortness of breath, it could be related to different possible causes: heart failure, a lung disorder, chronic anemia, coronary artery disease, etc..
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical check up and some tests:
- a chest X ray study
- a cardiac ultrasound
- a cardiac stress test
- complete blood count
- thyroid hormone levels
- kidney and liver function tests
- blood electrolytes.
You should discuss with your doctor on these tests.
Wishing all the best, Dr. Aida
