Suggest Treatment For Sinusitis

I seem to have issues with sinusitis and more especially now with ear blockage (feels like constant water in the ear) and cricking or popping sound every time i try to loosen up my neck which all began after returning from the middle east after spending some time in Bahrain.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sinusitis along with ear blockage which is due to inflammation and blockage of sinuses. Severity depends upon number and duration of involved sinuses. Ear pain occurs due to Eustachian tube dysfunction which is leading to pressure imbalance. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and go for sinus endoscopy for visualization of sinuses. You should go for CT sinuses. you should get culture of sinuses done and sensitivity from sinus fluids can help in correct diagnosis. Take mucolytic agent like ambroxol or decongestants. You should take steam inhalation as well. Do chlorhexidine mouth-rinse as well. Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food substances and carbonated beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
