Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection , Fatigue And Depression

I use to be very active. Bike riding, going to the gym but lately for the last 3 months I have be very fatigue. I thought I had a problem with sinuses so when to see that doctor and he said e everything is good. I went to my regular doctor and he said that my red blood cell count was low. He ran more blood work and said that my iron count was good. I don t believe it is depression as I m on several different meds for that. I get so short of breath and extremely tired when riding my bike. I have all these strange aches and pains in my shoulder, jaw, knees, hip, chest and cramps in my legs. I do have a history of stomach problem with blockages and ERCP. The only problem with my stomach right now is not being able to go to the bathroom. My regular doctor cut my anti depression meds and that s it.... But I m still having all these problems. I think that I m starting to feel a little depressed because I don t have the energy to do the things I use to. I work all week and sleep all weekend. Help. I don t like this life. I miss riding my bike and hanging out.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of being active in the past, on anti-depressants, ERCP in past, now fatigues for the past 3 months, blood tests normal except low hemoglobin but normal iron levels, you are missing active life and biking.

This is the situation that everyone including you and your Doctor gets stuck with.

I would advise you the following since you are not feeling well for 3 months, a long time to suffer for an active person of the past like you.
- Consult a Physician for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like Thyroid function tests, Widal for Enteric infection, and other investigations of the blood, urine and stool along with an ultrasonography of the abdomen and the X-ray of the chest.
These are preliminary investigations which can guide for further specific investigations and try to find the reasons of you symptoms that you have.

It is possible that there may be some findings for you to get the proper diagnosis and treatment.
If all the reports are normal, then obviously a counselling by a Psychiatrist and further management will help you to get all the diagnosis and proper treatment.
