Suggest Treatment For Sinus Congestion And Wheezing

I have had terrible sinus congestion for a week and now it has moved into my lungs. Sinuses are getting better but now my lungs are wheezing and rattling. I am on 875 Amox Clav for 7 days. I notice that it tickles my throat and lungs on exhale. I do not have a history of Asthma and only allergic to Timothy grass and mild trees. The tickle has been going on for about 2 months. My ENT wants to put me on prednisone but I had an allergic reaction to Dexamethasone during childbirth? I don t know what to do.

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. I think you may have a form of asthma and the prednisone therapy maybe exactly what you need. Despite your allergy as a child there may not be the same reaction now that you are older. If steroid pills are not an option then one of the inhalers maybe the best next option like advair or symbicort.
