Suggest Treatment For Side Effects From Tamoxifen

I have been experiencing side effects from tamoxifen after about 6 weeks of a half dose. I had previously been on arimidex for a month with similar side effects - headache, fatigue, joint pain and some mild depression. I would like to stop this medication altogether. What would be the negative consequences if I did not take any of these meds? I had a stage one breast cancer , lumpectomy and radiation.

Hi,
Tamoxifen is a very good drug in the prevention of breast cancer whether early or advanced in a woman who have chances of developing a disease.In your case it will also prevent the further progression of the cancer even after surgery and radiotherapy.
It has also role in other diseases like infertility treatment and bipolar disorder.
Now if you are facing any side effects then you should not stop it by on your own rather you can discuss your symptoms to your gynecologist or cancer surgeon.They will find any alternative way to get rid off this side effects.
If you will stop tamoxifen then you can imagine about the negative effects by my above explanations.
