My Dad is 58 years old and back in 2008 he dislocated his left shoulder and he was misdiagnosis and his pain has continue with shoulder pain on with muscle cramps, neck pain that lead to his head and a clot on the back of his neck. This has cause him pain to do any physical lifting and curtain movement. Reaction pain shut him down.My Dad has been a High School Football,Basketball and Baseball coach as well as his profession as Recreation Administrator for 26 years. He enjoy working as a Activities and Sport provider. He need Disability help so he could get back what he joy doing has a community service provider. He need help.
Your father had a shoulder dislocation in 2008. After that if he had a pain free interval , then i doubt whether this present problem is in anyway related to that dislocation.
1) Neck exercises regularly ( about 3 times a day ) with shoulder exercises. 2) Dicloran gel for local application over the neck and shoulder ( don't rub ) 3) hot water fomentation. 4) Soft cervical collar.

Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain
Hi , Welcome to healthcare magic, Your father had a shoulder dislocation in 2008. After that if he had a pain free interval , then i doubt whether this present problem is in anyway related to that dislocation. To me this problem appears to be a different problem altogether. It is probably a part of CERVICAL SPONDYLITIS with secondary paraspinal muscle spasm. TREATMENT: 1) Neck exercises regularly ( about 3 times a day ) with shoulder exercises. 2) Dicloran gel for local application over the neck and shoulder ( don t rub ) 3) hot water fomentation. 4) Soft cervical collar.
