Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I broke my left shoulder two weeks ago after falling. I have non diabetic neuropathy which was managing nicely until the fall. Now my legs are so weak and shaky despite excercise with a therapist. I am very weepy and my son mocks me and tells me to suck it up. The first week I had great difficultly in trying to stand up. I figured my right side was trying to compensate for what the left side cannot do and that every moment was painful. Is the weakest in my legs normal after such a hard impact and trauma to my entire body? Please HELP as I am so depressed and feel so helpless and isolated. I have very little money. I had to pay for each ambulette visit to my doctor 4 times and had to pay a service to help me take a shower. Thank you
Due to blunt injury there can be hematoma collection around shoulder .The bleeding that occurs result in hematoma collection. Over a period of time, as hematoma resolves it cause local skin symptoms around the hematoma.
You may need X ray of shoulder to rule out any fracture. You can consult your doctor by taking appointment, apperantly it does not seems like emergency.
You may need high protein and calcium diet for early recovery.
