Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath While Climbing Stairs

FOR a couple of months now . If I sit for LONG LENGTH OF TIME , and then get up out of a chair. or even climb stairs I am out of Breathe and fill sorta funny in my arms and hands and head. Some days does not bother me at all. I do not exercise or walk. I am Diabetic 2 and have lost 21 lbs. in the last year. Other wise I feel fine.

Thanks for your question on HCM. You are having exertional dyspnoea. The common causes for this are
1. Cardiac causes
2. Pulmonary causes.
So I suggest you to get done ECG and 2D Echo for evaluation of cardiac function.
Get done chest x ray and pulmonary function test (PFT) to rule out pulmonary problems.
Since you are diabetic, chances of cardiac disease is more. So consult your doctor and discuss these things.
