I HAVE HAD SHORTNESS OF BREATH DESCRIBING IT AS I FEEL I CAN NOT GET A COMPLETE BREATH IN UNLESS I YAWN OR STRETCH. I HAVE GERD SO I FIGURED THIS IS RELATED BUT UNSURE. I HAVE BURNING SENSATION IN MY CHEST WHEN IM TRYING TO EXCERCISE IN THE LAST TWO DAYS. I HAVE A HEAD ACH IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD AND SOME JAW PAIN
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having shortness of breath, GERD, headache and jaw pain. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to GERD in its severe form , but there can be other reasons also for symptoms you mention in query like asthma , heart attack , anemia or obesity. I would suggest you to consult cardiologist also to rule out more serious condition . Doctor may order certain tests like troponin t , ECG and complete blood profile . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for GERD , who may order ambulatory acidity test and x-ray of upper digestive system and prescribe proton pump inhibitor or H2 blockers . For now avoid eating heavy and spicy specially at night , keep your head elevated while sleeping , take benadryl twice a day , take antacid after every meal and take proper rest .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
