Suggest Treatment For Shingles

Yes. I am diabetic but it is controlled. I just ha a Shingles outbreak..1st I am 65. I cannot take the Valtrac prescribed..bad side effects. I read I can take lysine supplements, which might help. Then I read not tomtake if there are kidney problems. My kidney function is not 100%.Advice?

lysine does not get excreted by the kidney. Clinical studies have shown beneficial effect in the treatment of shingles and hence can be used safely.
