Suggest Treatment For Shingles Noticed On Shoulders Causing Itchiness

i think i have shingles i have not been feeling well for a couple of days, flu like. and yesterday a red mark on right shoulder where i can not reach apeared it is a little itchy and tingles about 2 inches by three i had shingles once before when i was about 35 i am 56 if left and not seen will it go away i have diffcult time getting to a doctor due to need for help and also having and suffering from hot flashes and muscle fatigue for about a year now

Hi.
As per your case history of shingles, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral acyclovir, oral antibiotics taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
