Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Calf Muscle

Hi, my name is Mary, I m 58, and have been getting some pain in my left calf muscle area for the past couple of weeks. I was walking along, and experienced a sudden sharp pain in my left calf: I was unable to walk properly or put my full weight on that foot for approx. 24 hours after which the pain eased a bit, and I could eventually walk normally again. Even so, the pain has not gone away. I had a malignant melanoma removed from my left ankle nearly 3 years ago (healed well, no problems since). I am diabetic (Type 1), which has been well controlled for 43 years, with no circulatory issues or problems with feet. Any suggestions/advice re: calf pain? R
