Suggest Treatment For Sexually Transmitted Disease

hi. I had protected intercourse but unprotected oral sex (I on her and she on me a )...both occasion only very briefly...less than a minute or two. After it was over and done and she (a prostitute) was getting ready to leave she was complaining of pain in the inside of her mouth...a possible sore?. When she left I saw dropplets of blood on the bed (in a hotel room). The blood was not where we where on the bed but I panicked. Before this encounter I already had sore penis glands due to some masturbation but within 36 o 48 hours I began feeling a sharp sting in my pe nis glands. At the same time I begin feeling a lightheaded sensation for a brief second...kind of like someone grabbing my brain and squeezing. This kept happening every day..sometimes in the afternoons, sometimes in the mornings or nights. As far as the pain in my penis, this lasted for about 6 weeks with thrust for about three days on the 3rd week and the rest of the time the sharp stings however moving from one side to the other..basically only these two areas. 17 days after this encounter I had a running nose and basically suppressed it with dayquil for three days (did not need nightquil) and it went away. About 5 weeks after this cold (I think more cold than flu) symptoms went away I had a hacking cough that lasted about 7 or 8 days. All the time the only symptom that I continue to have 14 weeks later is the lightheadedness that started on day 2 of the sexual encounter. I forgot to mention that when I got the runny nose i freaked thinking of the worse (HIV). It just happen that that day I had a cross atlantic flight and from that point on forward have had insomnia that it continues. All this time I have not stopped "researching the internet" which is the worse thing possible and I think this has developed into a mega anxiety issue for me. On Monday am going to my general practitioner and will be requesting a full STD test but am not sure if all this lightheadedness is a symptom or is something that I created with the stress, anxiety and snowball effect of negative thinking. I appreciate your response.

Hi,
welcome to HCM.

You had protected intercourse, but had unprotected oral sex. Oral sex carries a low risk for HIV/STD. But she had a pain in her mouth (some oral pathology) and you had a sore on your penis during masturbation. These could slightly increase your risk, still is very much lesser than a vaginal or anal sex. Sting feeling over penis might be due to the sore due to masturbation.
Noe of your symptoms (lightheadedness, cold, cough etc.) are specific for HIV and one can not suspect HIV by these. You have every possibility that you are free from HIV/STD. The risk of HIV through vaginal sex is around 4-8 per 10000 exposures and 11-138 per 10000 exposures with anal penetrative sex.
Risk of oral sex is very much lesser than these. So nothing to worry much.
Your blood test would clear everything.
