Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe tailbone pain which could be probably due to formation of Pilonidal cyst or Pilonidal Abscess and it can occur due to causes like traumatic injury to tailbone area, ingrown hairs, infection in the area or disc problem . I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist or a General Surgeon and get evaluated .In case of Pilonidal abscess you can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and cool compresses over the area. Doctor may also incise and drainage in case of abscess . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
