Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Bloating

I currently suffering withbloating and a very heavy stomach which sometimes makes me feel sick, my number 2 s are normal. i have had a stool test which was clear, i been taking lanzaprazole for 2 months which did nothing so i dont take them anymore. my doctor has sent me for a scan of my stomach which i have tomorrow. Seems very holding back on the endescope which is what i want because my dad suffered same thing and he said he had some bugs in his stomach and was given 3 sets of tablets and never had a problem after the tablets but my doctor wont give me the endescope. I tried the lactose tolerant tests and i am clear infact drinking milk is what helps me, but i am laying on my back now typing this my stomach hurts and is making constant noise gurgling etc which makes me feel really unwell if it is constant. Sometimes when it hurts my eyes strart to get tired and i feel like i wanna go sleep but i work and dont. Its very uncomfortable and i have been suffering for months now, when i am standing i look pregnant but i am male so its not that lol it just swells up like a balloon and i feel extremely uncomfortable. It gets so heavy i drink double action gaviscon which seems to help for ten mins. I just want some advice on what i should do or if there is any suggestions on how i can make it better. I do not smoke, I do not eat junk food infact i love my salads. At this moment in time i know i am hungry but my stomach is saying dont put anything in here, i do not feel sick, i want to eat but i cant until this feeling passes and sometimes it dont. In 3 months i have lost 1 stone and a half but seems to be staying at 10 and a half. i am 38 in december 5ft 10 slim build. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Feeling boated in stomach or fullness in stomach could be related to dyspepsia, constipation or acute gastritis but it needs further evaluation by clinical examination and various tests to have confirmed diagnosis.

Since you have already tried lansoprazole for 2 months without any relief then there is no point to continue it.

Rest of all your questions,i read carefully and from all those, you seem to be having gas trouble with bloating/.

If your symptoms are not so troublesome or disturbing then i can suggest you some medications and dietary precautions to get relieved from this bloating.

1) Take H2 blockers like Rantac150 instead of proton pump inhibitors.
2) Syrup digene 2 TSF three times a day
3) Avoid hot, oily and spicy foods rather take bland diet for initial few days
4) Avoid eating full stomach one at a time rather take small and frequent meals.
5) Have soft diet only for next 2 to 3 days
6) Take salads (cucumber, cabbage, carrot, beat) in the meal, more take vegetables
7) Quit alcohol if you take
8) Walk slowly after every meal but do not walk fast. Avoid taking rest immediately after meal.

All the medications are available over the counter, you can take them from some nearby pharmacy.

I expect you to get better within 7 to 10 days but if your problem persists then i will advice you to see physician or gastro physician who can order various tests (below mentioned) and can come to a particular diagnosis and start the treatment.

1) routine blood investigations,
2) liver function tests,
3) urine and stool examination for R/M and ova
4) ultrasound of abdomen
5) upper GI scopy.

Hope this will help you to get better.

Regards,
