Suggest Treatment For Severe Sore Throat And Cough

I had a hangnail on my finger and I bathed my late hiv positive brther who is at his last stage. Got sick after then sore throat headache and cough. I did p24 antigen and antibody at 4weeks and 3days it was negative did alere rapid test 6 7 8 9 10 11 it's was all negative and today is 80th day did anther allere hiv 1 and 2 negative but lympocyte is 57 neutrphilr 44 thers are normal still have a headache am so scared and my marriage is crashing smeone help me by replying pls

Hi thanks for contacting health care magic...

You can confirm HIV status by ELISA testing using fourth generation ELISA ...
You had tested for it around 4 week after exposure....

So if you are in window period than test can be negative ...
But usually after month test comes positive in fourth generation ELISA ..
So you can repeat test by ELISA or more confirmatory method Western blot method...

You have lymphocytosis , so it could be viral infection...
For that your lymph nodes palpated and look for icterus and hepatosplenomegaly to rule out infectious mononucleosis.If suspected than serological testing for that can be done ...

Symptomatic treatment done meanwhile by salt water gargles and more fluids.
Avoid excess spicy foods and oily foods ...

Take benadryl for congestion relief..

Advise : Consult physician for examination....
