Suggest Treatment For Severe Painful Cyst Under The Scalp
Hi, I have had a large cyst underneath the surface of my scalp since for almost a week now. It has been enlarging in size ever since and there is a throbbing pain and it keeps me awake at night because it is so sore! I have been trying to burst it but instead it started to bleed a bit and a tiny amount if pus, so im aware that i may have an infection now. The cyst feels really hard also, and I was wondering if it is worth consulting a surgeon to drain the matter inside of my cyst? And what shall I do to reduce pain?

You should consult a surgeon as he can decide whether you require drainage of pus at this point of time or whether your infection can be taken care of by the antibiotics. Till you consult a doctor you should start with tablet seratiopeptidase and aceclofenac combination (tab lyser D) for decreasing pain and swelling along with good oral antibiotic like tab amoxicillin-clavulanic acid combination (augmentine) 625mg twice daily with topical antibiotic like fusidic acid twice daily along with hot fermentation.
