Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Abdominal Area

I am a 77 year old male with diabetes. I fell recently against my lower right stomach. Tonight a pain in that area has developed. The VA has provided me with an RX of Tramadol HCL 50mg tablets for another stomach/bowel issue. Can I take a Tramadol now to releive the newly developed pain?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here you are having severe pain stomach area...

So acute gastritis or ulcer seems most likely here....

You can be prescribed omeprazole capsule 20 mg once in a day taken one hour before meal... For ten days....

If fever present and if CBC shows high neutrophils than antibiotic Also prescribed....

Avoid gastric irritants like ...
-Excess spicy food
-Excess tea, coffee
-non veg foods
-Smoking etc....

If symptoms worsen USG done to rule out underlying organic cause and accordingly treated

Take care

Consult physician for examination
