Hello

Your age indicates a soon approaching menopause which could very well be the cause for a fluctuation in hormone levels that have resulted in the recent heavy bleed. Such fluctuations along with future mild bleeds, irregularity in your menstrual cycle, etc; should all be expected with time. You could visit your doctor who should both educate you and help you to get through with Peri-menopause and menopausal symptoms suceasfully.

Best wishes
