Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Bruise In The Buttock

After riding the Lawn Tractor over very rough terrain. When I got off the Lawn Tractor I immediately had a pain in my Right Buttocks . I realized that my wallet had been pounding on that area during the time I was mowing. There is no obvious bruise and it only hurts when I stand and walk. It get worse the more I am walking. Sitting and lying does not hurt at all. What is it? I think it is an inflamed bursa. What should I do to get some relief?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
yes, you are absolutely right.its a aseptic inflamed traumatic bursitis of gluteal muscle . it may be due to localized pressure given by purse to the buttock muscles.
Rest, icing and anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen will give immediate relief.
Hope this helps.
