Suggest Treatment For Severe Nausea And Abdominal Pain

Hello there, my wife went through a medical abortion on Wednesday. She started to bleed till Friday morning. Then it stopped and she had another 2 tablets twice on Friday at 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm orally. She felt severe nausea and vomited 4 times. Then she started to bleed on Friday night. I have her a pan d but it did not help. I gave her warm water cushion as the doc prescribed. She has severe abdominal pain on Friday night and Saturday afternoon so much so that we had to give her drotin injection. She was bleeding profusely throuhout Saturday and passing many clots. She felt weakness, tiredness and nausea and vomiting so I gave her a emset tablet along with tramadol and tranostat. Can anyone please help with what s going on.

Vaginal bleeding with clots and abdominal cramps is normal after medical abortion due to the effects of drugs.
After that light bleeding or vaginal spotting is seen upto 1-2 weeks.

However,if there is constantly heavy bleeding (needing more than 2 pads in 1 hour) /passage of bright red clots after 24 hours,it needs to be reported to gynaecologist.
It can be a sign of retained foetal products or infection.Curretage can be considered in that case.

Nausea and vomiting is normally present upto 4 days post abortion.

If I were your treating doctor,I recommend,
-Analgesic like tab ibuprofen twice a day for 4-t days with antacids and antiemetics.
-Warm compress, massage over lower abdomen and adequate rest may give some relief from abdominal pain.
-Adequate intake of fluids or plain water to maintain hydration.Oral rehydration solution preferred.
-If symptoms like fever,collapse,worsening abdominal pain appear,visit to gynaecologist immmediately.
