Suggest Treatment For Severe Mouth Ulcers

Dear Doctor,
I am Mahesh Agarwal from INDIA. I am 25 year old having weight 55 Kg. I am suffering from mouth ulcer from long time. I have sores inside mouth mainly on tongue. When I take vitamins these sores get removed but it comes again on mouth after someday. I am pure vegetarian and mostly I take wheat. I don't take outside junk food. I don't have any kind of illness. I would like to know why it is so frequent? Is it symptom of any disease or its nutritional deficiency or Gluten insensitivity or parasitic infection in body or something else?? I request you to kindly help me in this problem. Kindly suggest me what I should do to remove all sores.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms apthous ulcers or canker sores commonly occurs due to nutritional deficiency of iron, vitamin B12 and Folic acid, gluten insensitivity is also a cause but has many other symptoms too, parasitic infection in mouth is vry rare and does not cause canker sores..

Nothing to worry you can take a multivitamin tablet daily for atleast 2 months..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.
Apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the ulcers.
Gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia..
Warm saline gargles will also help..
Avoid hot and spicy food and take a soft cold diet..
Suck on ice pops for relief..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
