Suggest Treatment For Severe Mouth Ulcers

I currently have white and red, ulcers/sores on the inside of my mouth. I started to notice the first couple a few days ago and they ve spread through my mouth since, including my tongue, cheeks, gums and tonsils(the tonsils are covered in them) My lymph nodes are swollen and it s hard to eat/talk unless I m sedated on ibeprofin. I ve been consistently rinsing my mouth with antiseptic and it helps, but only for a short time I also have a 100.5 degree fever, and I feel fatigued and somewhat drowsy.. Does this sound like common canker sores/cold sores/viral infection? I saw a doctor about this today and he didn t give me a real positive answer to what it was minus two tests, one for influenza and one for strep, which both came back negative. I feel as though I should be doing something different, since these things are spreading fairly rapidly. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

Welcome to HCM!
Apparently you are suffering from Aphthous ulcers which occur due to a number of reasons.
Topical corticosteroid gel or ointment
Mouth rinses chlorhexidine gluconate reduce bacterial load,
Topical lidocaine or benzocaine to reduce the pain

Tab Metronidazole taken orally three times daily along with Multivitamin tablets, pain killers & lactobacillus spores will be useful in addition to the above mentioned localised used medicines.
